The Militia Movement

It's amazing to me how many people believe the government subsidized press 
accounts portraying the militia movement as being some grand racist or
anti-Jewish conspiracy.  Just as I reject the idea that there is some 
international Jewish conspiracy, I also reject that there is an anti-Jewish
conspiracy.  

The militia movement seems to exist "just in case".  These people are 
preparing for what would happen if the gov't became despotic and violated
the constitution and individual rights.  There are many militia links on
the internet, and the vast majority of them are quite non-racist.  

When the gov't kills 80 innocent women and children at Waco, or starts 
outlawing scary looking guns (so-called assault rifles), it causes the
militia oriented people to say "See, it's happening!" and they dig in even
harder.  

Everyone hopes that the government won't become despotic, and that revolution 
won't ever be necessary.  But are you willing to bet your life that such a
thing will NEVER happen?  Recall that Hitler was voted dictatorial powers 
and also that he enacted strict gun control.  No one needs to be reminded
what happened after the gun control.  Even if you trust the current Clinton
regime, there's no good reason to think that it would be impossible for a
bad one in 10 or 50 years.  We need to retain the final veto.
